I write, teach and speak extensively about cyber security governance, security awareness, cybercrime, blockchain, healthcare and entrepreneurship and these are the primary topics you’ll find me posting about here.
I am the Global Security Strategist for Silicon Valley based Gigamon which keeps me busy blogging prolifically, speaking at industry conferences, chatting with the media and generally advising and assisting customers around the world to successfully adopt and implement enterprise-wide Security Delivery Platforms.
I’ve also held previous executive positions at Palo Alto Networks where I led the Ontario Public Sector team, Oracle Canada leading the Healthcare Core Technologies team and Hewlett-Packard Canada where I led the Healthcare and Medical Imaging Technology teams.
I am a very active and enthusiastic participant in the Canadian startup and higher education communities. I volunteer as a Mentor and Entrepreneur in Residence for Laurier University’s LaunchPad lean-startup accelerator program and guest lecture and advise on curriculum development for cyber security, cybercrime and security awareness programs for several Canadian Colleges, Universities and Industry Associations.
I proudly serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Brant Community Healthcare System and speak and write on the topics of board governance and cyber security risk management in healthcare for organizations such as the Ontario Hospital Association, The Governance Centre of Excellence and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
I hope you’ll find my website and published work of interest and value.
